Cockroach Control
Gel baiting and targeted spraying for kitchens, food areas, drains and service ducts.
See detailsSpraying a visible ant trail is the most common mistake. It kills the ants you can see, scatters the rest, and leaves the nest producing replacements — which is why the trail reappears a few days later, often along a different route. Effective ant control works through the nest.
We follow the trail back to where it is coming from — a wall cavity, a gap behind the platform, a window frame, a planter, or outside the building altogether — and treat the nesting point and the entry line. Where the species responds to it, a bait is used so that workers carry it back and the colony is affected rather than just the foragers.
Larger black ants that nest inside wood are a different problem. They do not eat the wood but hollow it out to nest in, so the damage shows up in door frames, window frames and wooden fittings. Treatment targets the galleries, and any timber already weakened will need separate attention. If you are seeing fine wood dust, mention it when you enquire.
Ants are opportunists. Sealed food containers, a clean platform, pet food not left standing, and attention to the gaps around window frames and pipe entries will do more to keep them away over the following months than any repeat treatment.
On safety: the correct clearance and re-entry time depends on the specific product applied at your premises. Your technician will give you those instructions on the day, and you should follow them rather than any general rule you read online.

Because household spray only kills the foragers you can see. The nest is unaffected and keeps sending more out, often along a different route. Treatment has to reach the nest to end it.
Please do not. The active trail is the most useful thing we have for locating the nest. Clean up food spills by all means, but leave the trail itself alone.
They walk over drains, bins and outdoor surfaces before reaching your food, so they can carry contamination onto food surfaces. In a food business this is also an audit issue, which is why commercial kitchens treat ant trails seriously.
Trail activity usually drops within a few days. Where bait is used it can take one to two weeks for the full effect, because the colony has to be reached. A nest located outside the building sometimes needs a second visit.
